Abstract

Networked haptic virtual environments are increasingly being used in medical simulation, aircraft maintenance training etc. The authors previously proposed virtual coupling schemes for NHVE's and tested it for constant delay simulated by buffers. They are currently working on a time varying delay simulation of the virtual coupling schemes. Here the authors present the implementation of network emulator for such a purpose that can create realistic Internet like networks in a laboratory setting.
