LHD LEGO PROGRAM

USER'S GUIDE

STARTUP
--------------

- Turn on the LHD power 
- Make sure LHD handle is in center XY position

DOS-side program
***************************
- Type "mouse" to load mouse driver
- Now run the DOS side executable, type
         "cd C:\USERS\RADAMS\LEGOS\"
         "legos"
             - the program will ask you for a name - it doesn't matter
             - the program will then give you options for the startup LEGO configuration

- Push the green button to power up the motor controllers.
- The DOS-side demo is now up and running!!

***************************
NT-side program
***************************
- Log onto the NT workstation
    user: rick
    password: Legofun
- Click on the desktop BIPLANE icon to start the legos graphics program - that's it!

- The last thing you need to do is type 'u' on the DOS-side keyboard to
upload the current lego configuration

BASIC OPERATION
--------------

-Excalibur moves the white cursor.  
-Place the cursor inside of a lego and then use the DOS 
machine's LEFT mouse button to grab it (hold it down).  
-When you select a lego, the cursor disappears and the
Excalibur now moves the selected block and haptically
renders collisions with other legos.
- 'ESC' exits the program on both the DOS and NT machines

ADVANCED OPERATION
--------------

***once you are up and running, all options are run from the DOS-side***

'u' - upload legos to the Windows 3-D display

- you can use the right and left arrow keys to rotate the image
right or left and the up/down arrow keys to rotate up/down, use
the 'i' and 'o' to zoom In or Out

'f' - flips the image upside-down so you can work on the underside
