Personal Collection of useful scripts and templates
(C)1999-2004 Blake Hannaford
These scripts are offered to the community for any
non-commercial use.
Latex:
- Templates.tex.
A file of latex hints and templates which
should ease the initial latex learning curve.
- nsfpdf
Shell script which creates high
quality pdf files suitable for nsf fastlane.
- halfpage
and qtrpage
scripts which optimize the size of jpeg image files
and converts them to .eps format
for 1/2 or 1/4 page figures in latex.
(may still need to adjust scalebox or width params).
The resulting eps files are fairly small and fast
without loosing visible image quality. Notes:
may not be suitable for line-art images. Requires
'convert' package.
- sectex.
Perl script which inserts comments into your
latex source indicating figure and section
numbers by each figure and section. If you
change the document, you can run sectex again
and comments will be changed.
- cleantex.
Shell script which cleans up all the derf
that latex leaves in your directories.
- coursetex.
Coursetex is a perl based macro processor
for latex files. It allows you to maintain
multiple versions of the same document in a
sigle file. For example, you can create
lecture notes, slides, and course handouts,
in a single document. Unlike other macro processors,
coursetex has very small and simple commands.
Misc.
- deword.
A small wrapper script for "antiword" (by Adri van Os)
to allow Kmail to display MS-Word attachments with
just one click of the mouse.
